Seminar-cum-workshop
The Text Book Committee (Nepali) will organize a Seminar-cum-workshop on Nepali textbooks at Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School on July 7 and 8.
Unclaimed body
One Kyrshan (37, male), a resident of Wahthabru was admitted in the Male Medical Ward on June 28 and passed away on July 1. The relatives are requested to collect the dead body from the morgue of this hospital immediately or within 3 days failing of which the body will be send for disposal.
Building Inaugurated
The Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Shivakendra building was inaugurated on July 5 at BDO, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin by the additonal Dc and Project Director DRDA, W Nongsiej. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Government officials, Headman, Chairman and Secretary of all the VEC from different villages.
Tournament
The memorial football Tournament of Mr and Mrs Rothanga Pachuau organized by Young Mizo Association (YMA) Madanriting Branch is being held at Happy Valley. The final match will be played on Saturday at 2pm.
Programme held
A one-day programme on Legal Literacy for Women and Children was held on July 6 at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Shillong. L M Sangma, Secretary, Law Dept, Govt of Meghalaya, briefly spoke about various laws inacted for the protection of women and children. Carmo Noronha, Executive Director, Bethany Society was the Chief Guest.
