App to track COVID-19 infections

Shillong: The Centre has launched Aarogya Setu, a new app to help track COVID-19 infections more accurately and effectively.
Aarogya Setu is a mobile application developed by the Centre to connect essential health services with the people of the country in the combined fight against the virus.
The app is aimed at augmenting the initiatives of the government, particularly the Department of Health, in proactively reaching out to and informing the users regarding risks, best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19.
The chief secretary to state government stated that it  is  now  mandated  under  the  provisions  of  the  Meghalaya Epidemic  Diseases,  COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 that residents of the state including persons who have been recommended for home  isolation and   quarantine  should   download  the  Aarogya Setu app which is available on both android and iOS platforms.
