JH follows distancing norm

JOWAI: The district administrations of East and West Jaintia Hills have taken strict vigilance so that social distancing is maintained while markets are opened during the 21-day lockdown.
In East Jaintia Hills, markets are being arranged in open spaces including playgrounds in different locations to help people maintain social distancing while purchasing essential commodities.
In Jowai town, markets were allowed to open in every locality with from 9 am to 12 noon.
Several villages in the district are also practising self-isolation by sealing entry into their villages to keep the virus at bay.
