SHILLONG: Former FKJGP leader Marbud Dkhar said that the government should turn its attention to the areas in the outskirts as there is a lack of basic amenities such as good roads, schools, etc.
While asserting that with the current lockdown, the farmers are not able to take their produce to the market, he urged the government to look into the plight of villages as well. He and his wife, F Majaw, distributed essentials to 5 villages – Madan Mawkhar, Umphrew, Umrynjah, Mawsiatkhnam and Nongkohlew at Mawsiatkhnam Dorbar Shnong.
