NEHU admits mistake

 Shillong: The North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has admitted that the Examination Cell, NEHU had committed some errors in regards to the marks allotted to the students appearing for the Bachelor’s Degree examinations.

The Examination cell of the University received a complaint from the principal of Umshyrpi College informing that there was discrepancy in the allotment of marks in the first year marksheet of students who had undergone Improvement Test 2012, marks for which had not been included in the new marksheets. Meanwhile, the education cell of the KSU on Tuesday highlighted the issue to the concerned authorities following which they promised to make amends.

“We admit our mistake”, said an official of the examination cell NEHU.

The KSU has also urged the NEHU to speed up the announcement of results of the BA, B.Sc and B.Com courses to enable students to opt for courses outside the state as well.
