Active COVID-19 positive cases in Meghalaya go up to 581

SHILLONG:  With detection of three new cases till 11 PM on Tuesday, the number of  active COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya  has gone up to 581.  Two of the new cases were reported from East Khasi Hills (EKH) and one from Ri Bhoi district.

Out of the active cases 479 have been reported from East Khasi Hills (EKH) district alone including 243 cases among the BSF personnel, 34 cases among Armed Force personnel and 202 others. Ri Bhoi district reported 53 cases so far.

Total number of patients recovered so far in the state is 196. Five persons have died of COVID-19 in the state till date.
