Ban on herbicides in WGH

TURA: The west Garo Hills District Magistrate in an order issued under Section 144 CrPC has prohibited the sale and purchase of Herbicides/Weedicides at bazaars and weekly markets in the district without prior permission from the concerned authority.

The order which extends to the entire district comes into force with immediate effect and will remain until further orders.
