SHILLONG, Nov 21: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) elected its office-bearers on Friday.
Ardent M Basaiawmoit was elected as president, Kara H Chen as vice president, Ricky AJ Syngkon as general secretary, S Rynjah as joint secretary, W Tony Lyngdoh and Rocky Marak as organising secretaries, Grossperwell Ryntathiang as treasurer, Dr. Peter Daniel Khariong as finance secretary and Robert S Dkhar as auditor.
Moreover, the conveners for different districts and regions were also appointed with Londoner M Sohtun put in charge of Shillong, Brightstarwell Marbaniang for East Khasi Hills, Samuel Chyrmang for West Jaintia Hills, Shanlang Warjri for
Mairang-Mawthadraishan and Rocky Marak for Garo Hills.
The youth wing of the party was also constituted with Mangkara Kharkongor being elected as president, Leba Lamin as vice president, Danny Langstieh as secretary and Willie Lyngdoh as joint secretary.
