Seminar
The Department of Philosophy, NEHU is organising a two-day National Seminar from March 11 to 12 on Dr. BR Ambedkar’s Idea and Thoughts (DBRAIT)-2013 wherein Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. B Myrboh will inaugurate the programme on March 11 at 10.30 am, at the Old Guest House.
Meeting
lThe Central Puja Committee (CPC) will hold its extended executive meeting on March 9 at 5:30pm at the premises of Jagannath Mandir, Thana Road. The meeting will discuss and chalk-out various programme on the eve proposed Shillong visit of 150 Iskon devotees (from more than 35 countries) on April 4.
lThe general body meeting of the Shillong Meitei Tengbanh Lup with election of new office bearers for the session 2013-14 will be held on March 10.
Painting workshop
In connection with the Year of the Youth 2012 celebration, the directorate of Arts and Culture will organise a closing function of painting workshop and exhibition on March 11 at 11am in the arts and culture hall in State Central Library.
Campaign
A public awareness campaign and free Glaucoma screening will be conducted on March 11 on occasion of Glaucoma week organised by the doctors of Mission Trust in Bawri Nethralaya from 10am onwards.
