Assault
lOn March 31 evening, one Arnik R. Sangma assaulted his wife, Sonila M. Sangma in his residence at Lower Chidekgre (EGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH, Williamnagar.
lOn March 2 at around 9:30 pm, two persons, Bijoy Singh (15) and Babu Thapa (21) assaulted one Binod Kr. Rai (45) at Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong. As a result, he sustained injuries and was admitted to CH Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
lTwo persons were injured on Tuesday afternoon after they were assaulted by ten unidentified youths at Mawlonghat (Iew Mawlong). According to the additional superintendent of police (Crime) Vivek Syiem, ten unidentified boys came to Mawlonghat at around 7:45pm and started assaulting a whole lot of people for reasons best known to them leaving two persons injured who were later shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital. Syiem said that the reason for the sudden attack cannot be ascertained as of now. The culprits fled the scene when the police arrived at the place.
Robbery attempt
One RM Shoh lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on March 30 at around 9 pm, one Ialam Kharsyntiew attempted to break into a garage at Bishop Falls, Lower Mawprem Shillong and also threatened the Member of the Dorbar Shnong.
