SHILLONG, April 24: The Meghalaya Joint Council of Trade Unions and Associations (MJCTU&A) has expressed ‘dismay’ at the ‘non-fulfilment’ of long-pending demands of the ad hoc school teachers of Meghalaya.
The ad hoc teachers under the banner of the Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM) have been raising the demand for the upgrade of their services to deficit Grants-in-Aid category and increase in their pay structure.
Expressing solidarity with the struggles of the teachers, the MJCTU&A has urged upon the state government to address the issues raised by ad hoc teachers.
