SHILLONG, May 23: Training guns on Pynthorumkhrah MLA, AL Hek, State Congress working president, PN Syiem, who is all set to lock horns with the former in the upcoming Assembly polls, launched an attack on the sitting MLA picking holes in his five-term haul as the MLA of the constituency.
Speaking to reporters here, Syiem alleged there is lack of infrastructure for public in the constituency such as playgrounds, footpaths, streetlights, PHCs etc.
Asked to comment about Rocky Hek’s entry in the fray very likely on NPP ticket, particularly for Pynthorumkhrah seat, Syiem said that more number of candidates would ultimately increase his chances of winning the polls.
“If I have to carry a weight, I have to carry it by myself. It will be good for me if more candidates are there,” he added, while appearing seemingly optimistic to snatch the bastion of Hek.
