SHILLONG: In another case of alleged crime against women in the city, a woman lodged a complaint at Sadar PS that on May 31, an Army personnel Nk. U368027N Daohalu Boro of Assam Regiment, Shillong molested her while she was on the way from Butcher Road to Anjalee.
Police have arrested the accused and investigation is on in the matter.
It may be mentioned that the State has witnessed a spurt in crimes against women and minors of late and the latest incident of the alleged rape of two minor sisters by the officer in charge at Ampati Police Station shocked the residents.
A non-bailable warrant has been issued against the accused police official.
