The golf captain of Shillong Golf Course on Wednesday notified that the golf course will remain closed to the public for two days on October 15 and 16 in view of the golf tournament commemorating 50th year of statehood, which is likely to witness participation of golfers from across the country.
Flower fair
Autumn Flower Fair 2022, organised by Shillong Agri-Horticultural Society, will be held at All Saints Cathedral Hall between October 19 and 21. Life members have been requested to attend the general meeting to be held at the venue at 3 pm on October 20.
Prohibition
The District Magistrate of Eastern West Khasi Hills has prohibited use of chemicals in Kynshi river and its nearby streams to prevent further harm to aquatic lives and contamination of water. The order was necessitated following complaints about rampant killing of fish in the water body during night time.
