Assault
On July 14, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Likhastan Roy Kharpor (36) at Mawlynrei (EKH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH, Shillong.
Body recovered
lOn July 14 around 9:30 am, the body of one Bapan Dev Roy (19) was found hanging in a Catholic Church at Lumkynsai, Smit (EKH). He was reportedly missing from Pynthorbah, Block-II since July 12.
lOn July 12, the body of one Philip Nongsiej was recovered near Nongdaju village (WKH). Cadaver has been handed over to the relatives after post mortem examination.
Rape
On July 13 at around 7 pm, one Lumlang Khyllait raped a woman at Mawpat (EKH). Police arrested the accused.
Burglary attempt
One Jaga Subedi, Branch Manager, SBI Mynso Branch lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on July 12 around 1:30 am, unknown miscreants broke into the SBI Mynso Branch. However, the miscreant fled at the sound of the Automatic Alarm.
Threat cases
One Bin Raliang lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on July 11, one John Ting Dhar threatened the villagers of Nartiang village (WJH) with dire consequences.
Theft
On July 9, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-8129) belonging to one George K Sangma from Housing Colony, New Tura (WGH).
Complaint
One Eisanharwar K Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on July 4, one Blington Ch Marak pushed his Conductor, Modon Hajong from a running bus at Mellim Bazar (WGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.
Funds misappropriated
lHun Kharumnuid, Sordar of Diengpasoh and others lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that two persons, Solomon Marboh, ex-Sordar and Roster Kurbah, ex-Secretary have misappropriated Rs. 17,46,518 during the year 2008 to 2010.
lL Kynjing, the BDO of Shella and Bholaganj Block lodged a complaint that two persons, Heavenlight K. Sawian and Margrita Nongrum misappropriated Rs. 46,250 under the IAY Scheme.
