SHILLONG, March 1: Despite three decades of film producing and filmmaking, Meghalaya still does not have a policy to regulate films, but in hopes of changing this, the Mass Media Department of St. Anthony’s College and Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, North-Eastern Hill University, will host the Summit on the Meghalaya State Film Policy at St. Anthony’s College conference hall on March 9.
At the summit, different panel discussions with members of the film and art fraternity of Meghalaya will be held.
All relevant issues and challenges in connection with film making in the state will be incorporated into a draft film policy which will be submitted to the government.
The event is sponsored by ICSSR-NERC, Shillong.
