SHILLONG: One Steven Kharmalki has landed up in police station for making an obscene gesture towards occupants of a vehicle carrying none other than the wife of Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma — Dikanchi D. Shira.
Incident happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday.
According to police, one local taxi (ML-05C-9604) first obstructed the vehicle of Mahendragnaj MLA. Kharmalki along with some others, who were in the taxi, immediately started making indecent gestures towards the occupants of Dikanchi’s vehicle.
However, the PSO of the MLA Dilme A. Marak managed to apprehend Kharmalki, while others managed to flee from the scene.
Kharmalki was later handed over to Laitumkhrah police.
