SHILLONG, March 27: Residents of the state have to brace for power cuts with the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited set to resort to load-shedding for the next two to manage the situation arising out of the emergency shutdown of one unit of the ONGC Tripura Power Company.
An official from the MeECL said that the situation is not in MeECL’s hand and they would have to manage the situation for the next two days.
“We will resort to load-shedding at odd hours so that it does not impact routine work,” the MeECL official said while adding that the timing and duration of the load-shedding has not been finalised.
