NONGPOH, April 18: The Umsning Durbar on Tuesday felicitated Dr. Celestine Lyngdoh, the newly elected Congress MLA from Umsning, during a function, which was attended by Umsning Town Dorbar Chairman, Rocky Kylla, local headmen and the residents from the area.
Traditional turban and mementoes were presented to Dr. Lyngdoh to commemorate his victory in the recently concluded Assembly election.
During the felicitation programme, Kylla urged the Congress MLA to work in tandem with the people of Umsning and towards the latter’s welfare and development.
In response, Dr. Lyngdoh assured the people of the constituency of giving his best in the capacity of an MLA.
He also urged the traditional head, headmen and the locals to extend their support in the future for the all-round development of the constituency.
