Fire damages shops, house in Rynjah

SHILLONG, April 30: A furniture shop near Rynjah Dispensary, a house and one tea stall were damaged in a fire in the wee hours of Sunday.
Policeman from Rynjah PS rushed to the area. Police said seven fire tenders were engaged to douse the fire.
According to the police, the house damaged in the fire belonged to Bonifast Kharkongor of Madanrting while the tea stall was run by Magdaline Kyrsian.
Enquiry is on to ascertain cause of the fire.
Police said the damage valued is about Rs 81 lakh.
