SHILLONG, June 26: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Monday said the government was ready conduct safety audits of all projects of importance in the state.
He maintained that the weather conditions are harsher in Meghalaya and if any concern is raised, the government will conduct the safety audit of all vital projects.
He downplayed the collapse of the retaining wall of the Rs 127.7-crore PA Sangma Sports Complex saying there was “nothing” in the preliminary report to suggest any lapses.
“There is nothing wrong with the structure and there was no other damage despite heavy rain and water logging,” Sangma said.
