Shillong, July 19: According to Henley & Partners, a global citizenship and residence advisory company, Pakistan has been ranked as the country with the fourth weakest passport globally. Among the 227 countries assessed on the index, Pakistan stands at the 100th position. This ranking is based on the number of destinations Pakistani residents can visit without requiring a visa.

Earlier this year, Pakistan was listed among the five countries with the lowest-ranked passports by the London-based advisory firm.

Until January this year, Pakistani passport holders had access to 35 countries with an on-arrival visa facility. However, this number has now decreased to 33.

On the contrary, Singapore leads the index with the most powerful passport in the world, surpassing Japan, which had held the top position for the last five years. Singaporeans can visit at least 193 destinations visa-free out of the total 227, making it the most coveted passport globally.

In a notable shift, Europe is making a strong comeback in the rankings, with Germany, Italy, and Spain rising to the second spot. These countries offer visa-free access to 190 destinations, as reported by Geo News.
