SHILLONG, July 31: Cabinet Minister, Ampareen Lyngdoh on Monday said her decision to abort the recent tour to Garo Hills was taken at a personal level.
Speaking to media persons here, Lyngdoh said the West Garo Hills administration had briefed her about the situation in Tura and she decided to cut short the tour as she did not want any law-and-order situation to arise there.
Defending Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma for visiting Tura despite police advisories, Lyngdoh said the recent Tura incident has not been discussed in the Cabinet.
