Govt yet to pay royalty on minerals to ADCs

SHILLONG, Sep 17: The state government is yet to clear the dues of the three autonomous district councils on royalty for minerals of since 2021-22.
According to the supplementary demands for grants and supplementary appropriation for 2023-24 tabled in the Assembly on Friday, the amount payable as share of royalty to KHADC for 2021 is Rs 24,81,06,442. The amount payable to the JHADC is Rs 9,82,25,690 while the GHADC is due to receive Rs 5,33,87,565.
