Kerosene seized

On September 18 around 7 pm, during vehicle checking near DC office, Shillong, Police intercepted one Maruti car (ML-05K-0266) driven by Silanstar Marbaniang and recovered 10 litres of kerosene oil in a plastic jar. Later, Police also raided the house of Sanjay Rahim at Sweeper Lane, Bara Bazar and recovered another 15 litres of kerosene oil.

Theft

On September 16 at around 12.30 pm, one Moon Phyllei stole a bag containing Rs 30,000 cell phone, EPIC and passbook, belonging to Rijini Sutnga at Lad-Jalyiah (East Jaintia Hills). Police arrested the accused and recovered the stolen properties.

Heroin seized

On September 16 at around 8.30 pm, Police raided the house of Lalthangzuali at Umkaliar, Nongmynsong, Shillong and recovered 2 grams of suspected Heroin in a golden tobacco container, cash Rs 27,000 and five cell phones. Police arrested the accused.

Sexual abuse

Josep Puwein lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on September 15, one Promtis Dkhar had sexually assaulted a minor boy (8 yrs) at Maweit village (West Khasi Hills). As a result, the boy sustained grievous injuries.

Duped

Keith Daniel Kharshiing lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that in the month of September 2011, one Ranjit Meitei, Managing Director, North East Vision Infratel Pvt., Ltd., had cheated him of Rs 12.89 lakh, with a promise to secure a contract work and supply of materials.

Kidnapping

Regarding missing report of two minor girls, Karlincy Langrin (16) and Ribancy Yumpuin (15), further report indicated that during enquiry it was found that two persons, Milan Prayang and Raja Perme have kidnapped the girls.
