NONGPOH: DD Lapang, the local MLA and the Chief Adviser to the Government chaired the felicitation programme of Raid Nongbri Secondary School at Umsawnongbri which was held on Friday.
Lapang expressed his immense pleasure and also lauded the managing committee and the teachers for organizing for such an important programme meant to motivate students to achieve success in the years to come. He also congratulated them for their excellence service. Later, Lapang laid the foundation stone of Umsawnongbri water supply scheme at Umsawnongbri in the presence of PHE, SE MN Tiwari, EE PHE D.D Umdor, Umling C&RD G Myrboh and DRDA Project Director AL Mawlong, the scheme was sanctioned by the National Rural Drinking Water Supply Programme (NRDWSP) at a sanctioned amount Rs. 3, 68, 29, 000.
