1st SPL semifinal today
SHILLONG: Malki SC will take on Rangdajied United FC in the first semifinal of the Shillong Premier League at the JN Stadium, Polo, on Wednesday.
The match will start at 2:00pm between the two best sides of the season.
Malki are the only team to at have forced at least a draw from an otherwise rampant Rangdajied this season, drawing their second leg match 1-1. They lost their first, however, 3-1.
A loss for either team will not be completely disastrous, as the defeated team will get a second chance to make the final by taking on the winner of Thursday’s Royal Wahingdoh versus Langsning match.
RUFC are undefeated this season and will start as favourites.
They have just won their first I-League on Sunday, but have said that they will not take the SPL match lightly and will field a full-strength team.
Malki are also in good shape, although they may miss out on a couple of players, but they are confident going into what should be an exciting contest.
