SHILLONG, June 6: Parents of schoolchildren have expressed concern over the alarming traffic situation every morning in Shillong.
Some parents on Thursday said that their children get late for school almost every day with them shouldering an additional burden of schools not allowing them entry inside the classrooms, if they arrive late.
A parent on Thursday said that travelling from Laban to IGP took them almost an hour on Thursday.
“Since our children get stuck in traffic, schools do not even allow them to attend classes and this is happening with many students,” the parents said.
