Assam doctors get appointment letters to serve in ESI hospitals

Guwahati, July 11: Assam minister for welfare of tea tribes and labour welfare Sanjoy Kishan on Thursday presented appointment letters to 10 doctors of Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) hospitals and dispensaries at a function held at Janata Bhawan here.

Notably, the doctors have been placed in the ESI dispensaries and hospitals to provide medical treatment to the bonafide workers of the state.

“Today is an important day for the state, as 10 doctors have been appointed to provide affordable medical services to the workers who are playing a crucial role for the growth and development of the state,” the minister said.

He said under the leadership of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the state government has been taking several initiatives for the welfare of all sections of the people of state.

“The appointment of 10 doctors is a way forward for taking care of the medical requirements of the workers across the state through employees’ state insurance,” he said.

Congratulating the doctors on their appointment, the minister requested them to render their services with a sense of dedication. Kishan also assured the doctors that his department would do everything possible to facilitate a congenial work environment so that they could render their best during duty hours.
