Lightning strike hits 4 in WJH, no casualties

JOWAI, Sep 17: Four persons were seriously injured in a lightning strike in Mowshadep village, Laskein Block, West Jaintia Hills, on Tuesday morning.
It was learnt that the four men were coming from Mowshadep village, but due to the heavy rain, they went to take shelter under a banyan tree and the lightning struck that very place leaving them injured.
The injured persons were identified as H Ting from Mooshrot, B Tyngkan from Niawkmai, P Sten from Mukroh and S Lyngdoh of Sahsniang village.
The residents promptly rushed the injured persons to the hospital for treatment.
