Torture
A woman identified as Sudha Devi lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that her husband, Gauri Shankar Choudhury, tortured her physically and mentally since the year 2007, at Harijan Colony, Mawlonghat.
Theft cases
- One Kishore Kumar Sharma lodged a complaint at Tura police station that in the year 2010, one Ajay Kumara Sony stole gold ornaments valued around Rs. 3 lakh.
- On February 7 at around 4.30 am, residents of 12th Mile in Ri Bhoi caught red-handed one Rakesh Chouhan (39), while he was stealing one laptop computer from St Jude School at 12th Mile. Police arrested the accused.
- On February 4 at around 2.30 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-07A-7534) belonging to one Raju Mazumdar from his residence at Williamnagar in East Garo Hills.
