Johannesburg: Gaganjeet Bhullar suffered a big slump at the start of the back nine with four bogeys in five holes and ended up with his worst card of the week at two-over 74 to finish tied 59th at the Joburg Open here on Sunday.

He came down from his overnight 51st place after a score of 71 in the third round. Bhullar finished with rounds of 71, 67, 71 and 74 to be four-under 283. Bhullar was the lone Indian in the field.

At the top, George Coetzee came from four shots back to win the even, his first European Tour title, and a place at the British Open on a profitable Sunday for the South African. Coetzee’s final-round 6-under 66, with six birdies and no bogeys, took him to 19-under 268 overall and past compatriots Thomas Aiken and Justin Walters, the overnight co-leaders. (Agencies)
