State BJP hoping for Modi rally in city

SHILLONG: The state unit of the BJP is making attempts to rope in the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to address a rally here ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, party sources said on Tuesday.
Modi has already visited the Northeastern states of Assam and Manipur addressing rallies there.
Sources informed that the Meghalaya BJP unit has approached the BJP’s central command on the issue and is awaiting its response.
