BSF foils bid to infiltrate, nabs 4 Bangladeshis

TURA, May 7: In a major boost to border security efforts, the BSF foiled an illegal border crossing attempt and apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals in South West Garo Hills on Tuesday.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, vigilant troops from 50th Battalion BSF detected suspicious movement near the international border. The personnel swiftly launched an operation, which led to the successful apprehension of four individuals attempting to illegally cross into Indian territory.
The detained individuals, identified as residents of Mymensingh, Gazipur, and Nogaon districts of Bangladesh, were handed over to Mahendraganj Police Station for further action.
