M’laya police officers honoured for gold medals at int’l event

Shillong, July 25: In a proud moment for Meghalaya’s sporting and law enforcement fraternity, the Meghalaya Police on Friday felicitated two of its officers — Alan Marbaniang and Wandalin Syiemiong — who clinched gold medals at the prestigious World Police & Fire Games 2025 held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
A special ceremony was organised at the U Soso Tham Auditorium in Shillong, where the officers were presented with mementoes and citations in recognition of their remarkable achievements.
The World Police & Fire Games is a global multi-sport event that features participation from thousands of police personnel, firefighters, and correctional officers.
