A meeting of the Muslim community held here on Saturday elected office bearers for The Shillong Muslim Socio Cultural Education Association.The meeting also discussed the arrest of four persons who had came to Shillong to collect zakat(Donation) recently.
Condemn
CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing has strongly condemned the death of Charity Pariong who was allegedly badly beaten up by her school teacher at St John Bosco School in Rambrai, West Khasi Hills. “We strongly demand the concerned authorities to take strong action against the teacher,” Kharshiing said in a statement on Monday.
