Dacoits flee
On April 23 at around 2 am, while on mobile patrolling at Tangaon (WGH) Garobadha Police came across 10/15 dacoits in combat fatigue. On seeing the Police, they fled away and left behind three crude bombs, one DBBL gun, one country-made SBBL gun and one toy pistol etc.
Fraud
Dolma Lhuzon lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that during the year 2007, unknown persons had fraudulently applied for a passport in her name.
Madan Singh lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on April 17 at around 1.25 pm, he received a telephone call in which the caller introduced himself as an employee of SBI, Mumbai and informed him that his ATM card has expired and asked him to give the three digits on the back of the ATM card and his PIN. Later, he received an SMS informing that Rs. 1000 has been deducted from his account.
Assault
On April 22 at around 9 am, one Denis Kharkongor assaulted Bisila Nongkhlaw (49) at Mawshbuit, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On April 21 at around 11 pm, one Ombla Shylla assaulted and threatened his wife with dire consequences in their residence at Khliehriat West (EJH).
On April 21 at about 7.30 pm, one Bicky Mahanta attacked three persons, Chimpu Momin, Bitu Rishi and Mintu Rishi with a knife at Beldarpara (WGH). As a result, victims sustained grievous injuries and were admitted at Civil Hospital Tura. Police arrested the accused.
One Tota Ali lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on April 20 at around 3 pm, two unidentified miscreants forcibly took him to Pynthorbah, Shillong in a Tata Sumo, where they assaulted him and looted Rs. 8000 from his possession.
Theft
On the night of April 21, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero Camper (ML-10A-8739) belonging to Sanjay Sharma from his residence at 17th Mile, Byrnihat (RB).
Harassment
Urmila Gupta lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on April 14 at around 10.40 pm, one Brijendra Upadhya went to her house along with others and harassed her.
Complaint
Kusit Kyrsian and Faithstar Nongbri of Kynroh, Nonglyer, Sohiong (EKH) lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on April 12, Agnes Kharshiing, Artila Nongrum, Paulina Kharthangmaw, Fatima Kharthangmaw and Stet Basalarmaw, defamed the complainants by making baseless allegations against them.
