City event to pay musical tribute to SD Burman tomorrow

SHILLONG, Nov 7: The Byatikram Group, in association with The Times of India and the Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, will organise the second edition of ‘Remembering the Maestro–SD Burman’, a grand musical tribute celebrating the timeless legacy of the legendary composer Sachin Dev Burman.
The evening of melody and reminiscence will be held at 5 pm on Sunday at the U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong, and will be attended by Governor CH Vijayashankar.  Other guests expected to attend the event are renowned singer Lou Majaw; eminent singer and Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s sister-in-law Manisha Hazarika, environment advisor Naba Bhattacharjee, NERIM Group of Institutions Director Prof. Sangeeta Tripathi, among others.
Meanwhile, the organisers of the event have extended an invitation to all residents of Shillong in particular and Meghalaya in general.
