Bureaucratic rejig in state

SHILLONG, Nov 18: The state government has effected a bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring officers across several key departments.
As per a notification issued in this regard, M.B.K. Reddy, Principal Secretary to Mining & Geology Department will also function as Principal Secretary, Forest & Environment Department with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
Sampath Kumar, Principal Secretary, has been relieved of his functions as Principal Secretary, Forest & Environment Department.
F.R. Kharkongor, Principal Secretary, Arts & Culture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Departments etc., will also function as Principal Secretary to Labour Department. Saintfield Ch. Sangma, Additional Deputy Commissioner in-charge of Dalu Community & Rural Development Block has been relieved of his functions, while Tadingchi N. Sangma, Assistant Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, has been posted as Assistant Commissioner, West Garo Hills District.
Her services are partially placed at the disposal of Community & Rural Development Department for appointment as BDO of Dalu Community & Rural Development Block.
Asish Koch, Assistant Commissioner, Patharkhmah (Civil) Sub-Division, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, the notification added.
