Raipur, Dec 2: South Africa national cricket team wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock is on the verge of becoming just the seventh South African to surpass the milestone of 13,000 international runs.
de Kock has amassed 12,924 runs across 309 matches and 345 innings — an average of 40.13 — with 29 centuries and 70 half-centuries, his highest score being 178. He needs just 76 more runs to breach the 13,000-run barrier. If he succeeds in the upcoming second ODI against India national cricket team in Raipur, he will join the likes of Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla and other South Africa greats who have already cleared this mark. de Kock’s tally underlines not only his longevity but also his consistency.
