Mystery shrouds MLP personnel’s death in Andhra

SHILLONG: A personnel of the MLP 3rd Bn., who was sent to Hyderabad for election duties, has reportedly died under mysterious circumstances.
According to police reports, Havildar Anderson Daimary (48), who was deployed for election duty in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh, was found missing from his camp since the evening of May 1.
On the evening of May 4, his decomposed body was recovered from the outskirts of Mamillagudem area, Nalgonda. Inquest was conducted at Govt HQ Hospital, Nalgonda.
Commandant of the MLP 3rd Battalion, Maxwell B Syiem, said the Battalion has filed an FIR with the Andhra police.
The body of the cop was cremated on Tuesday in his native village in Udalguri, Assam.
