Hindu Sammilan Utsav meeting today in city

SHILLONG, Jan 31: The Hindu Sammilan Utsav has announced a meeting in Shillong as part of preparations for its upcoming cultural event aimed at promoting unity, culture and social harmony.
According to the organising committee of the organisation, the meeting will be held on February 1 at 3 pm at Gorkha Durga Mandir, Shillong.
Cultural organisations and representatives from various sections of society have also been invited to participate in the meeting.
The organisers stated that the Hindu Sammilan Utsav is being planned with the objective of celebrating Hindu cultural heritage while fostering unity and harmony among different communities.
The event also seeks to provide a platform for cultural organisations to showcase, preserve and promote traditions, values and diversity.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on programme schedules and logistical arrangements for the proposed Utsav.
The invitation has been jointly signed by organisation president Sumitra Pradhan and general secretary Rajesh Kumar.
The organising committee has expressed hope for wide participation and cooperation to ensure the successful conduct of the Hindu Sammilan Utsav in the city.
