Unauthorized usage of copyright music prohibited

SHILLONG: The Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills has directed all concerned to obtain the Public Performance License from Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL), for legitimate usage of copyrighted music in all public places and commercial establishment and events. Unauthorized usage is punishable by imprisonment up-to 3 years with a fine upto Rs 2 lakh.
