Dorbar thanks Jowai MLA for devp projects

JOWAI, March 10: The Dorbar Shnong of Khimusniang, Jowai, through Waheh Shnong TS Bamon, has thanked local MLA and Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla for facilitating various developmental schemes in the locality.
Bamon stated that the MLA’s efforts were instrumental in securing funds for drainage, motorable roads and footpaths through the Jowai Municipal Board, Urban Affairs department and the Thadlaskein BDO office.
Notable completed works include the repair of the dilapidated footpath leading to the Myntdu River, commonly known as ‘Jingkein Nar’.
The Dorbar Shnong also announced that work on the road from the PWD Road to the PHE Treatment Plant at Khimusniang (Urkhla) will begin in the coming days.
On March 9, the PHE Electrical Division formally assigned work lines to contractors. Another internal road project at Khimusniang, Pohkseh, which has been pending since 2008, is also being addressed.
