Agniveer recruitment
The East Khasi Hills District Administration has invited youths from across Meghalaya to participate in upcoming recruitment rallies for Agniveer Vayu and the Indian Army. Additional Deputy Commissioner S. Warjri stated that approximately 60 to 70 seats are available. The recruitment process will be conducted at the Eastern Air Command in Upper Shillong. Aspiring candidates seeking assistance or information have been asked to contact the DC Office, the Zila Sainik Welfare Board or the Army recruitment authorities in Shillong.
Health camp
A three-day congenital heart disease screening camp was held at Nongstoin MCH Hospital and Ganesh Das Govt M&CH Hospital, during which 840 children were screened. During the health camp, a total of 176 children were identified to receive free treatment at Apollo Children’s Hospital, Chennai, under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), Meghalaya, initiative.
