NEW DELHI, March 24: A senior Trump administration official, Elbridge Colby, said India is indispensable for peace, stability, and a favorable balance of power in the Indo-Pacific amid geopolitical shifts.
During his visit to New Delhi, he highlighted expanding India-US defense cooperation, including advanced technologies, joint military capabilities, maritime awareness, anti-submarine warfare, and co-development of defense hardware.
Colby stressed that a strong Indian defense industry enhances sovereignty and resilience, and noted that differences need not hinder the strategic partnership, which is grounded in enduring mutual interests and shared goals of regional stability and security. (PTI)
