Drishyam 3, featuring Mohanlal, to release on May 21

The makers of the Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam 3 announced the film’s theatrical release on May 21, 2026, coinciding with the actor’s birthday. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the previous films, this third installment follows Mohanlal’s character Georgekutty and his family as they face suspicion after the death of the son of the Inspector General of Police. The release was earlier scheduled for April 2, but Mohanlal shared the updated date via Instagram along with the film poster, captioning: “The past never stays silent… it only waits. Georgekutty arrives, May 21st 2026. #Drishyam3 | Worldwide Release.” Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, the franchise began with Drishyam in 2013, a major box office hit. Bill Cosby to pay $19mn in 1972 sexual assault case

A California jury has ordered Bill Cosby to pay $19.25 million to a former waitress who alleged he drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1972. The woman met Cosby while working at The Trident, and claims he gave her a drink that made her unconscious during an event at the Circle Star Theater. The damages could increase if punitive awards are granted. This civil ruling follows Cosby’s release from prison nearly five years ago, after Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court overturned a similar criminal conviction.
