Shillong, April 11: Two second half goals gave Shillong Lajong a 2-0 win in the Indian Football League 2025-26 against Namdhari FC at the latter’s home ground in Ludhiana on Friday.
Everbrightson Mylliempdah (53’) and Ephraim Lalremtluanga (57’) scored within minutes of each other early on in the second session in what was Lajong’s last away game of Stage 1 of IFL 2025-26.
Victory lifted Lajong up one spot to third position, now with 14 points from eight games.
Dempo SC notched up an easy 3-0 win over Aizawl FC to secure their second consecutive victory in Indian Football League in Margao on Saturday.
Marcus Joseph (43rd), Jose Luis Moreno (53rd) and Sebastian Gutierrez (90th+) scored the goals for Dempo.
Dempo SC moved ahead of their opponents to fifth in the table with nine points from nine matches, while Aizawl dropped to sixth in the table with the same number of points.
