TURA, April 15: Social activist Flaming Marak has sought the Governor’s intervention regarding the GHADC’s failure to appoint an Additional Judge to the District Council Court, despite a High Court directive.
In a complaint submitted on Wednesday, Marak noted that the High Court, in an order dated February 10 (PIL No. 15 of 2025), had directed the appointment of a full-time judge in accordance with the law.
He stated that the absence of a judge has disrupted the functioning of the GHADC Court, causing litigants to suffer and delaying justice. Marak urged the Governor to intervene to ensure the court is made fully operational through the necessary appointment.
