Govt renames multiple roads in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, April 17: The state government has renamed several roads across the state with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (B), ‘Blessed Mother Teresa’ has been renamed as ‘Saint Teresa Road’, while ‘Rev Nichol’s Roy Road’ has been changed to ‘Rev. JJM Nichols Roy Road’.
Furthermore, the ‘PWD Road from Thorika Rabha to Nibari’ is now designated as ‘Utpal Rabha Road’ and the ‘Pasyih Garampani Road (PG Road)’ has been renamed as ‘Phramer-Shangpung-Saphai Road’.
The notification also detailed that the route from the Wahthapbru locality towards Jaiaw Pdeng, passing through the Mission Compound locality, has been named ‘Dr. Friday Lyngdoh Road’.
